Im obsessed... help... me..please?
Cross country is good for your stamina, right and if you prepare yourself mentally and psychically, you will find and enjoy the feeling of long distance running more than sprinting. Once you hit your first, what they call runners high you will never want to stop long distance running. The high is a release of endorphins in you system that makes you feel like you never felt before. You only get that and a certain mileage of running, usually over the 10 mile mark. But as far as helping you for sprinting, absolutely it will help, challenge yourself when you run and try to better your times. When track season starts you will be in such good shape sprinting will be a breeze for you. Just treat your body with respect and know that in every sport where training is an absolute there will be injuries, Even a Ferrari has tune up problems now in then. Have Fun and enjoy your first high, there is no better feeling when it hits, you will take off faster than you ever have and not get tired!
