Do you let your dog lick ?

my first dog liked to lick and it sickened me ... i mean i saw him licking his and and then come for a lick of my hand, no thank you ... so i trained my current dog not to lick ... and it is very pleasant ... i think it depends on what you can take ... you have a st bernard (beautiful dogs) but i could never in a million years have a dog like that with the drool and licking your face, that is a bit much for me, the dog licks his you know !!!
