How do you explain the difference between "Today" and "Tomorrow" to a toddler?

My child does not understand the difference between the terms "today" and "tomorrow" and I cannot think of a logical way to explain the concept to him. It is difficult...I tell him today is right now...and tomorrow is when we wake up...but then when we wake up it will be today and it all gets very confusing. He is a smart kid but I just can't find the right way to teach so it clicks for him. When I try to tell him it feels like an Abbott and Costello routine.
