I eat ground flaxseeds and take DHA algae supplements. Flaxseed oil doesn't have EPA or DHA but it has the precursor fats that help build them. The DHA can convert into EPA in the body, another essential omega 3. It is also important to keep the omega 3s and omega 6s in proper ratio. Most people get too many omega 6s, so they should cut down on as much omega 6s as possible, like sunflower oil and corn oil.
