Basketball ! (conditioning, speed & quickness)?
Start weight training, especially for the calve muscles. Try yzing your running style, you might not be getting the most out of it (have someone videotape you). If you are a point guard, how important is it to run without the ball? (Suicides are pointless). That is the forward's job. How fast you run down the court with the basketball in your hand is the important thing. See how fast you can run down the court while dribbling the basketball. Left and right hands, behind your back, crossover, etc. If you can be the fastest guy with the ball, they will have to start you. Practice this 1 hour a day, and you will be the best. P.S. Keep your head up while dribbling so you can see the other players. I know too many hoopsters who are fast down the court but are looking down at their dribbling rather than at the open man, ridiculous.
